Fika Roastery

Nestled in Grand Marais, Fika is both a seasonal destination and a year-round anchor for the community. In summer, it welcomes North Shore travelers with freshly roasted coffee. In winter, it sustains local jobs through its roasting operations and on-site worker housing.

Architecturally, Fika blends traditional timber framing with a modern shed-roof design. A central light well with a transom window illuminates the interior, creating a bright spine that divides the production area from the hospitality space. At the back, a sauna nods to Scandinavian traditions, offering a warm and inviting retreat in every season.
